How will I know what my new smile will look like?<\/strong> That is a question many patients have when considering smile design. One process that Dr. Klim uses to show patients their smile is a “mock-up” or “smile test drive.” How does it work?<\/p>\n

After an initial consultation and exam by Dr. Klim, impressions or mold of the patients teeth are taken. A cast is then made. Dr. Klim will take this cast and do what is called a “wax-up.” This means placing special wax on the model of the teeth then carving in desired shape, length and anatomy of the patients new smile.<\/p>\n

Dr. Klim will then make an impression of the wax up, place provisional composite material in the impression and return it to the patients mouth. The composite material creates a temporary likeness of what the new restorations will look like.<\/p>\n

Photographs are taken so the patient are able to see how the new smile will look.<\/p>\n

This process enables patients to do more than picture in their mind what their new smile will look like, but actually see for themselves the transformation before committing to the entire treatment.<\/p>\n
